I l ' I D ' I , V I ' , 1 , 1 ' 1 . enterlng S1Xth grade Th1s year we studled about Iowa and made thlng 1n sex e M1ss Koch Mlss Tracy Mr Savllle and Mrs Brodersen helped us along We added three to our group who were Helen Roberts joan Fredenck and Shzrley Broderson Two d1dn t stay long but left the same year They were oan Frederlck and Helen Roberts When we f1nally reached the enormous jumor l-hgh room 1n 1942 we really thought we were blg shots Th1s year we learned a lot from our f1ve teachers who were Mrs Mltchell Mr G1tt1ns Mrs Engel Mlss Rxchardson and M1ss Reynolds Th1s was the year that Mar jor1e Cochran Kenneth Klburz and Mlldred Steel Jolned us But w1th the add1t1on of these three members we lost Melvln Fulton james Hartman Donme Hazen and Harold Klnkennon The next year 1943 dldn t bring any change ln classrooms but we dld have a lot of fun along w1th some good hard study Our elghth grade banquet g1ven by the seventh grade was a real success Edward Melsenhelmer and Beverly Wlllxams decxded to Join us thls year Two of our class declded to travel another road These were MBTJOIIB Cochran and Mlldred Steel At long last we are on the last lap of our Journey We were what they call Fresh men We felt pretty blg comlng mto the blg assembly and belng one of them Th1s year we took up many new subjects and trxed to master them We also declded to take up sports Basketball and football thrxlled us very much Our teachers pushed us through They were Mr Glttms M1ss Molst Mrs Wllson and Mrs Bennet Our classmates remalned about the same by loslng only one Edward Melsenhexmer When sophomores we took up some new subjects and dropped some old ones Th1s was also the year that belng 1n h1gh school IS no longer a thr1ll We were stlll about the Bob Beaman didn t stay long but left th1s year also We had all new mstructors Mlss Hun s1cker Mxss Reppllnger Mr Black Mr Lockhart, Mlss Holland and Mr Preston Our Junlor year found us ln the same well beaten path as many others had taken We were used to the old grlnd by now and settled down to business Th1s was the year we looked lnto Mother Goose Land whlch was the theme for the jumor Semor Banquet We were progressmg quite rapldly w1th three more students They were Norma Kluber janet Dlck erson and Robert Hepler Robert Hepler and Sally Miller left th1s year Th1s year was also a fateless one for our superlntendent Mr Lockhart, who passed away He 15 someone we all shall remember We then acquired a new superlntendent Mr Speed Our other teachers were Mlss Taylor Mr Lyons M1ss McKee, Mrs Supple and Mrs Kelly Well we have now come to the year 1n whxch we are semors It has been a slow but sure process but we flnally made it Phyllxs Wllllarns jolned us for our very last lap and B111 Hartman dec1ded to leave Our teachers Mrs Rust Mr Speed Mrs Graham Mlss Gustason and Mr Lovely have really made the time fly We are all ln such a scurry waxt mg untll the tlme for the junlor Semor Banquet our class play commencement and every thlng which comes while be1ng a senxor We have also had ourselves shot by a camera that 15 The w1de road lies ahead and thls is the turmng point We w1ll by thxs tlme next year have launched on a great career The road IS long and sometimes dreary but we ll try and llve up to h1gh standards Th1s IS just the end of the begxnmng Here s success to every one may you have more ups than downs!
