In this era of automation we many times forget the basic needs of our stu- dents. We want to feed data into machines and computers to produce ready-made solutions for all their problems. The pro- cess of growing up, facing the many difficulties of their approaching adult- hood can be an awesome and fearful time. This is the time when the services of the guidance counselor can best be ut- ilized. The objective of the guidance pro- gram is not to give advice'and answers to problems but provide an outlet by which the students can arrive at an under- standing through their own reasoning.
