Each year, OSU students hove on opportunity to toste o bit of Howoiion exotic fore and o little of the native donee of the South Pacific islands of the annual Hui O Howoii luou. Hui O Howoii, or club of Howoii” is o 130 member organization of students, o mojority of whom ore from the island state. They ore the only self-supporting organization on compus ond is considered by OSU faculty to be one of the most successful, kept strong for over 29 years. The dub's highlight activity is the luou. with approximately 120 students participating in food preparation, decorating, sing-ing ond native dancing. The luou is ptimorily o fund-raiser, but it is also o vehicle for Howoiions to shore their culture with students from oil over. C.
