Spring is a time people gel together out of doors to enjoy the warm sunshine. And. what better place is there on campus than the green grass in the Memorial Union Quad. Whether it's tossing a frisbcc. rapping with friends, or just relaxing and taking in the scenery, the Quad seems to be the place logo. Quad 29

OSU ihc “Cow College. Everyone knows that, liven those who vigorously object had to give in last spring on Cow Day, which was designed to bring back the agriculture aspect to OSU. The day began with a Cow Art Show featuring drawings by various dignitaries including Tom McCall, Robert Mac-Vicar, Mark Hatfield. Dee Andros and Ralph Miller. The drawings were then sold at an auction for the Vietnamese Relief I'und. The art show was followed by a livestock display in the quad, with a cow milking contest and prizes for the w inners. Activities continued all day on the quad with a barbeque. ice cream social and a blue jeans contest. Those people having the oldest, most worn, and most patched jeans were judged. A free concert was provided by the Sawtooth Mountain Boys, and Ma and Pa Kettle movies were shown in the MU. The question of whether cows will invade our campus next spring is unsettled, but chances are the event will expand to include more than the agricultural aspect of OSU. But the first Cow Day was a success. After all. what else would you expect from one of the moovinest Cow Colleges around? 30 Cow Day
