Environmental Pollution Research An active research program in the area of environmental pollution has been conducted at Oregon State University for more than forty years. Information provided from this research has added much useful knowledge for finding answers to a multitude of problems that are inherent with an increasing population. Research activities include water supply and treatment methods, waste water collection and treatment methods, industrial waste treatment and waste utilization, air pollution controls and solid waste disposal. 29
