Spring... The warm breeze drifts across the waking land Bringing with it a restlessness of new life Stirring the leaves, and the hearts of those who Have long awaited these dismal skies to clear. Creeping on silent feet, it steals into classes Spilling through the window, its rays drawing even The mast ardent from the living line to the living Green of rolling lawns, and an endless hue of blue. Down to the river, to the lake and the shore To the splash of the ski, or to the ocean’s roar And lying in the sun on the grass or sand, we can Understand the message in the touch of a hand. So walk in the evening when the gold touches the Mountain's crest, observing the clearness of thought And the pounding in your breast, of the hand of God Of Spring, that time we love best. 25

. . .and Thoughts of Spring It’s almost spring! In brief spells between winter showers of rain, the campus comes to life. Thoughts turn to spring, when pranks become the order of the moment, and many still end up wet. At this time of year, the lights of the MU arc familiar to many who stroll by or run as the hour dictates. In the evenings of warm days the entwined hands and longing looks are the first symptoms of an oncoming epidemic — and thoughts of spring. 24

it’s Mothers Weekend... Mothers Weekend marks the “spring” of another year, and in tribute to the true spirit and drive behind our efforts we do our best to show appreciation. Each of us has worked hard to learn the dance, the song or skit besides sharing that upper berth and putting her through Mom’s registration. 26
