When in doubt form a line. Davenports and chairs on Fraternity Row lawns acted as lookout posts for Row residents to make sure that freshman coeds on their way to sorority rush parties would not get lost. After officially becoming members of the OSU student body at the pledge convo. the new Beavers then learned the secret of the mysterious Paw-Paw Pick. The lo-o-ong waiting lines reminded all OSU students that registration had arrived. Freshmen and transfers become official Beavers at pledge convo. And we thought registration was complicated with 8000 students!”

 Those smiles won't last long when they find out her room is on third floor. Fall term heralds new year Rushees pass in review along Fraternity Row. September: Jan Romsos. ▼ A record number of students on the Oregon State campus this fall made 1961-62 a year of housing headaches for administration officials. As tradition dictates, Rook lids and Rookess ribbons bobbed everywhere; however, this was first year the ribbons went up in smoke at the Homecoming bonfire.

October: Deanna Thompson. ▼ In the president’s office was another newcomer to the Oregon State campus. Dr. James H. Jensen. In welcoming the Class of '65 during Orientation Week, President Jensen pointed out that he. too, was a freshman at OSU. Nickel Hop time means a swarm to the dorms (male type) with the upperclassmen women wondering. Where are the men?? Each nickel pays for two dances and a contribution to the AWS scholarship fund.
