Chimes ringing out across the Oregon State college campus let all in hearing distance know that the work of many alumni, faculty and students had been fulfilled. Dedicated during Homecoming, the Carillon Bells were the result of three years of fund raising. Now, as one wanders down the college pathways, he steps along to the rhythm of the college chimes. In the morning a student proceeds along the pathway of knowledge, later in the day he advances toward the O Club where he finds friendship, and at eventide he can discover a pathway of culture at concerts, plays or lectures. Each day the student travels these paths and other byways made available by the college. The paths wind, sometimes with no seeming direction, but along the paths are guiding signs for the student to heed so he doesn’t go astray. Then comes the culmination. All the paths merge into the main trail of education, and the student walks down the aisle in cap and gown to receive his degree. After the graduation ceremonies are over, the student leaves these immediate pathways and begins his discourse down life's pathway. Suddenly, the bells sound clearer and life takes on a deeper meaning. 4 Electronic Bell Dedication Schedulec Americana carillon bells «U1 be| ........ irard today iroro I3 5J to I 10 in Mr. ItoUtlv be mil plat the fol'legro (or Carillon! 1 concert TV official Ircxatioo and playing nil) be at alflinw of the fooibaU -«ne ii h Auld Lang S ne pfc « h he eflinal ejnUonnrur 2 Robert associate protrvwc t( muMc logins m a bail hour Chaage Ringing Oregon, con.
