NO. 5 INDIANA CROSSROADS GR O VER TO WN, Superintendent and Bonm' Plan Year! Activities 9' Left to right the members are Stanley Hensler, Hobart Martin, Samuel Hayes, Don Reid, Robert Orr. Through the year the board has put its approval on activities and field trips planned by various classes and organizations. Mr, Peregrine's duties vary widely. Here, he takes time out for a quick shot. In ,,., ... new M63 Mrs. Rowles, secretary to Mr. Peregrine, has many jobs which she performs efficiently. They Assist Us Mr, Ginn is completing his fifth Cyear as principal of O- D High, During this time the stu ents have learned to respect his judgment of issues, We want to say Thanks for all the assistance he has given us. Mrs. Ferch is secretary to the Jr. Higir School and to Mr. Slusher the principal, She wor s all year writing checks, balancing the books, and doing all the things a good secretary should do to make our school operate smoothly, She is always smiling and willing to help anyone at anytime, The students of O-D H. S. have come to know Mrs. Bowers as a shelter in the time of storm. No matter if she's working on books, typinlg, or filling out lunch reports, she has time to stop an give us the informa- tion we are seeking. We want you to know, Mrs, Bow- ers, we really appreciate all you've done for us and you will long be remembered by the Class of '69. Most students pretend a fear of the princi als office but all students know that Mr. Slusher is realljy friendly, cooperative, and ready to help, He shows an interest in the activities in which students engage themselves but even more so he shows a deep interest in the students themselves. We are most grateful to Mr. Slusher for the service he has given to our schools. w VICTORIA BIGLEY l Olivet College, B. S. Elementary Music ERNEST BLAIR BONNIE GARDNER Purdue University, B. S, M. A. Oregon-Davis gave Marquette a hard struggle even though we were defeated. The spirit was high, and it was a most exciting game. The traditional pep rally was held, but without the bon fire, because of the weather. Linda Green await was crowned Homecoming Queen '69 by reigning queen, Dawn Wallskog. The cele- bration was concluded with Z1 dance featuring The Electric Playground . Don? Take My Penny The Junior Class fseniors, '69J presented Don't Take My Penny, under the direction of Mr. Turner. The story revolves around an ordinary family that really isn't ordinary. No one really knows what the other members of the family are doing. Penny is the daughter who wants to be an actress, and her boyfriend Kerry doesn't want her to. So, this causes confusion for everyone. But in the end, things finally work out for everyone. . 1,5 , A., f g,9yfXs,.ri ,SS C Mtg, :Q if .K c --ftrg-f 1-1932. -Fw-gf fix' , , awww, , -Q-fg.,,1 ,f-Y, ff- in A- ,ras fm A Q,-f.g,g,,.fy3 ,f'f'.'A75 2+ ,fx .40 img,-9.3 x ff, I f -f' 1, Y J MTN 'ft 1?v'Y'2 -1 ugflixk i' 191 ' ws se X' J - Drama Club Officers Seated.: M. The Chamber Choir performed for various clubs and activities. The Band and Choir presented a Winter Concert and a Spring Concert. The Pep Band help- ed the Bobettes to entertain O-D fans at the half time of home basketball games. The Chamber Choir and some of the Choir members participated in the NISBOVA Music Contest held in South Bend and brought home eight second place ratings and one first place. In the instrumental competition Jan Schoppel received a first place and went to State Contest held on February 15th. The whole music depart- ment worked hard this year to help Mr. Tanner make our year successful and en- joyable. The Junior High Band and Choir had a successful year also. They gave concerts and sometimes even playing with the High School Pep Band at home basketball games. Our thanks to Mr. Tanner for helping our Music Department have another successful year.
