As we seniors walk from the shadows of our high school days into the realm of the adult world, we shall miss the friendly classmates we have known and the teachers who have given us a helping hand on the road to knowledge The fond memories of formal dances sports and class plays are forming the past and now we look to the future 'CJ -e- I -1-433 4 ' 5 Y Wfwls so QQ ,M 'P 2 O l ., ,ar is Om 6 The students and faculty have been very happy to know Irmtraud. She has a very outgoing personality and has easily made friends. The teachers have found her a very sincere and responsive student. Irmtraud won the school I Speak for Democracy speech contest and placed second in the county My True Security contest. She is a member of Y-Teens and IRC in school and was also one of the Senior princesses at the Christmas Ball. My first school day in Oregon City was veqy difficult, because everything was so new and strangeg my last school day here will likewise be very difficult because I'll have to leave all my American friends. As for the days in between, they have been very enjoyable. I was especially impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of the student body and faculty. Coming from a more formal German ,af Wasp: ':', if it . tis t,eg,af i,l?f,5,1Q g ' 51,6 1 Axmgq school, I like the warm and informal atmosphere of your school. I so much appreciate it that the American people accepted me as one of them, and made me feel at home in this wonderful state of Oregon. When I left Germany, I did not expect to find a country as beautiful as my home, but I really love Oregon. You have all been such a help to me during my year as an Exchange Student in Oregon City. Therefore, I want to thank the students and especially the teachers for the part each has played in making this one of the most memorable years of my life. I hope I'll have the opportunity to meet some of you again later in my life, therefore I want to say Auf Wiedersehnf' My best wishes for you all. Although the Goodmen didn't win too many this year, anybody who watched them play could see that they were no cinch team to beat. Oregon City's weakness seemed to come in the second half where they apparently lost their opening spark. Loss from this year's squad will be great as four of the top players--Dale Hannaford, Rod Vermillion, Burnell Bohn, and Jerry Poppin--will be graduates. The most promising players for next year are Jun- iors--Dan Petticord, Tom Naokes, and Ed Hauck. All Sophomore group will be coming up from the IV squad. .
