l-larriers l-lurry to State Giving it all that they got are Craig Ellingson and Scott Clement at the Ord Invitational. The Ord Boys' and Girls' Varsity Cross-Country Teams completed their most successful year in history by qualifying both teams for state. Some of the Boys' highlights included: 2nd Place in the District meet, 3rd place at Albion Invite, and 3rd place at the Ord Invite, Some of the Girls' highlights included: 2nd place at Districts, tst place at the Aurora Invite, and 2nd place at the Central Con- ference meet. The students provided us with tremendous team depth! They ran well except at the Gothenburg ln- vite and the State meet, which was held in Kearney. The state meet was a new experience for us. Lady Chants Set Records Christina Kasvi ot Finland was a leading runner tor the Girls' Cross-Country team. This was the first year Ord ever had a complete girls' team. Cross- Country involved a lot ot hard work since the practices were long and tiring. For most of the runners it was a new experience. Kim lvlichalski earned two medals and Chris Kihs and Anita Vviemers each came home with one. The 1984-85 Girls' Cross-Country Team consisted ot: Kim Michalski, Anita Wiemers, Kayla Peters, Chris Kihs, and Christina Kasvi, lvlr. Rich Cecetka was the coach and Mr. Dave Huston was the Assistant Coach, 90 Cross-Country Chris Kihs, Kim Michalski, and Kayla Peters all stay in line during the Ord Invitational,
