Valuable Experience Gained The reserve basketball team enjoyed the 1984-85 season. They worked hard, but it was fun work. Under the training of Coach lvlachal, they gained valuable experience, con- fidence in themselves, and a sense of teamwork. When the too-short season came to a close, their record stood at 5 wins and 9 losses. Freshmen Boys' Basketball: Mr. Bartholomew, Troy Klanecky, Jesse Nelson, Jon Zell, Shane Steele, Bryan Hoevet, Mitch Kearns, and Mike Mason. The 1984-85 freshmen boys' basketball team consisted of 9 players. The team stats were six wins and four losses. Mr. Bartholomew, the coach, commented that after dropping the first three games the team regrouped to play better as a unit and won five of the last six games. Mr. Bar- tholomew said, l was pleased with the effort our team made to play better together in the latter halt of the season and eventually won the championship at the VICA Tourney in Grand Island.
