Huston had this to say about the girls, We had a real strong year and a good deal of valuable experience was gained. Varsity Girls ' Break Records Varsity Girls' track coach Rich Cecetka had one State qualifier this year, Tammy Vancura. The junior qualified in the discus. She also holds the school record in the shot- put with a throw of 35' 31k . Seniors Marie Wadas and Jenny Anderson both had a very good season. Each of the girls proved their talents throughout the season. Wadas, who is the Central Con- ference Discus Champion, also holds the school record in the same event. Anderson tied the school record in the high jump with a jump of 4'1O . The two-mile relay team was also praised by Coach Cecetka for being consistent in all meets.
