Lady Chants are Champs Once again the Lady Chants proved to be all that they were made out to be. Not only did the Landy Chants return to the state tourney but they also won every regular season game for the first time in Lady Chant history. On top of all this they also reign as the Champions of the Cen, tral Conference tournament, Distirct tournament and the Ainsworth lnvitab tional! The majority of the valuable points were scored by Seniors Kim Cook 8: Jenny Anderson, and Junior Tammy Vancura. The girls, only loss came in the semi-finals at the state tournament to round out the season with a 21-1 record. Coach Murray said that the girls performed very well. This year,s 6-15 record says nothing of all the hard work and never give in attitude of the team, says coach Fred Williams. He also commented that the team played real good against other teams that were of their own size, however, the teams they lost to were usually much taller.
