Good Job fo Everyone With only 9 players, each Frosh team member gained a lot of play- ing experience. According to coach Jan Weber, her team improved on free throws and driving to the basket throughout the season. She also said that the girls needed to work on their jump shots, but there are some good future ball players. Kate Gibbons led the team in scor- ing and rebounding, while DeeI.inn Goodsell led in steals and Kris Stowell led in field goal percentage. GOOD JOB Good job goes to everyone On the freshman team We made it this far Even though it seems We didnlt win the Conference Game But we gave it our best shot It taught us something about friendship That we can use a lot. Our friendships we have strengthened I know that for a fact They kept this team together They kept it intact We cried when we fouled out We cried when we got hurt But we kept on going, yes we did And tried to be alert This freshman team Can really move We've got what it takes To get in the groove Miss Weber coached us through it The starters did their best But when they got too tired The others gave them a rest DeeLinn, Lori, and Stephanie Kris, Lynn, and Kate Peggy, Susanne, and Cheryl The team that did so great Ord freshman girls that's who we are A team that gives no sass Thatls because we are The team that has got CLASS!!! - by Sharon Moudry 72 f Freshman Girls' Basketball

Being disrupted by injuries, the team finished with a 1-4 record. Kellie Williams was the top scorer with 22 points. Eighth graders Kristina Knapp and Carrie Sevenker contributed well to the scoring with Lisa Weems and Angela Stalker leading in rebounds. Coach Cecetka thought that next year's Jr. High team would be strong with the help of next year's eighth graders. .1 r' . . 4- Hn ,C Y MH- f A-M ....Jn,,...s,,,,W.,' 1 Top: 1984 Jr. High Girls' Basketball Team. They lost their first game by a mere 2 points to G.I.N.W., then won every game after that. First-year coach Dave Huston stated that it was a good ex- perience to coach such a talented team his first year. Coach Huston added that the team's strongest point was the reliable bench strength.
