Valuable Fundamentals Learned With 39 7th and 8th graders this yearls teams not only learned the always valuable fundamentals, but also patience. Coach Jan Weber commented that, lt was very hard getting everyone into the game but the girls were very understanding. The 20 7th graders finished the season with a 1-3 record. Coach Weber stated that she was impress- ed with their serving and very pleased with their ability to learn so much during their first year out. The 8th graders ended their season with a 1-5 record. Teamwork Is Season K ey Teamwork was the key for this year's impressive Freshmen team. With a finishing record of 5-1 the girls' only loss was to GINW. Coach Kelly Clemens com- mented that with only six players on the team they had to stick together. Clemens also said she was very pleas- ed with the team's efforts . . . and We had a very fun season. Jr High Completes Perfect Season Seventeen 8th graders and fourteen 7th graders made up the 1983-84 Junior High football team. Under the mentorship of Lon Bar- tholomew, the team ex- perienced a learning process throughout the season, and finished with a perfect 4-O season.
