The drama class was ac- tive in 1984, working on a number of plays. The students divided into groups of two to four to work on their plays. Some of the plays the members performed were: If Women Worked As Men Do, which they did for the Central Ten Conference Con- testg The Shoemaker's Wife, which they put on for District Competitiong Anastasia, performed for the Loup Valley Raider Contest. Kim Hackel, a four-year member, said that par- ticipating in drama is an event in your life where you can improve yourself and overcome your shyness. Drama f 33

NHS Size Increases Drormoticollhgl The purpose of the National Honor Society is to recognize the qualities of leadership, academic achievements, service, strong scholarship, and character in O.H.S. students. The National Honor Society had four members at the beginn- ing of the 1983-84 school year and new members were later elected by unanimous selection by a faculty committee. Mr. Hersh sponsors the organization. Those selected were recognized and presented with a certificate on Awards Night. The new members for the 1983-84 school year were: Seniors: J. Augustyn, S. The Spanish club promotes the study of foreign language. The requirement to be a Spanish Club member is to have taken or be in Spanish. Mr. Calleroz was the faculty sponsor. The members had a lot of fun attending Foreign Language Day at Kearney State College. Jen- nifer Lueck said that is was real interesting and informative, and gave some real good ideas of skits the spanish club could per- form for the grade schoolfl They also enjoyed a spring party, where they watched some movies.
