In Through the Out Doorf, As I sat in my room, thinking about our most original theme for this year- book, l thought about just what does In Through the Out Door mean? On August 25, 1983, over 400 students walked through the doors of Ord High. New students, old students, and teachers entered into our lives for nine more months of studies, ball games, and parties. In Through the Out Door For the seventh graders, entering into a new high school can be exciting. The school is a big, unfamiliar place. In elementary school, they were the big fish in the little pond, but now are the little fish in the big sea. As for the seniors, being the big fish and preparing to go out into the world can be pretty scarey. Theylre enters ing into the world, and grow- ing out of being just another student. N rs 5 mixer i Doug out the Many people will come into our lives and touch us forever, Remember your first date? Or your very first kiss? Remember your excite- ment as you walked through the doors of school for the first time? The people who taught us all through grade school: Miss King through Mr. Hyde? Miss King has been replaced by Mrs. Sanders, Mr. Patch by Mrs. Turek. The names and faces have changed, our old teachers have gone out of our lives, but their memory may be inside of us for a very long time. In Through the Out Door can have a deep meaning to us all. From grades K-12, someone has entered into our lives and someone has gone out of them. l.et's try to remember the good times and let the bad slip away. Nothing will touch us more than the fond memories we have of our good old school days. . 4' 'V ,sa ,vase -- Nxgjkses f Top Left Sandy Knutson and Kathy Mlnary discuss the everyday life of Sophomores Top Right Sara Trubey debating whether or not to pound Lonnie Hereen Above A typical classroom scene. The instructor and advisor was Mr. Pedersen. J. Hansen was the editor and K. Cle- ment filled the new position of junior editor for the annual. There are a lot of decisions to be made in putting the an- nual together. The staff must decide what layouts will be used, what pictures will go on the pages, and what section will come first in the annual, etc. The work done on the an- nual is a year round process. The work doesn't end when the school year ends. The an- nual staff saw some slides of the work done on the annuals by the staff of the publishing company during the summer. These problems will never enter a 1984 Senior's mind again. Those days are gone, along with being seniors at O.H.S. Some of us will be merrymaking, going to college, or just out there looking for that job. Most of us are going to miss our friends, underclassmen, teachers and certain classes. For they have all played an important role in our life. What will we remember most about our high school days? Class parties, G.I.N.W. football game, prom and homecoming dates. Probably every senior will remember these things, but most of all we thank O.H.S. and the teachers for giving us our education. So, graduation is very near a grand final of these years. New doors will open, old doors will close. Where will we go? Only God knows.
