Andy McKinley (the only returning letter winner) had a broken arm over the summer and got the cast off just before the season started, so his average for the first few matches was quite high. Our team had a fun and learning year. This group of girls were inexperienced and knew they had a job ahead of them. They came together as a team and worked on developing their skills, so next year when the close games occur they will be on the winning side. Jenny Kerr was our leader on the boards with Lisa Field also doing a good job. This team has potential and will develop with work, into a tough contender for the conference. Coach Luttrull says, I am pleased with the 1986 Cross Country season. We didn ' t win many meets but everyone ran well and im- proved with every meet they ran. Our goals for the season were to have fun, run the best we could and set some school records, which was accomplished by two of our team mates, Daric Bass and Jody Schultz.
