VARSITY GIRLS BASKETBALL Coach - Bob Chupp, Julie Taylor (12), Marcie Chapman (10), Becky Forth (12), Danielle Lee (10), Marie Thomas (9), Shelley Mixter (12), Jamie Schultz (11), Kim Darcy (12), Lisa Vines (10). The 1986 Lady Cardinal Varsity Team finished with a fine 18-5 overall record. This was the best win-loss record in the Western Michigan area. In all of the losses the Cards were very close losing 3 games in the final 30 sec- onds and 1 in overtime. As a group they were competitive and talent- ed. Our team had a fun and learning year. This group of girls were inexperienced and knew they had a job ahead of them. They came together as a team and worked on developing their skills, so next year when the close games occur they will be on the winning side. Jenny Kerr was our leader on the boards with Lisa Field also doing a good job. This team has potential and will develop with work, into a tough contender for the conference.
