D c bate ...they were great? This year ' s team proved to be just that. Mrs. Kienke was the coach for her second year. Former debater and assistant coach, Alan Hilgendorf was very help- ful with this year ' s team. The debate team was a member of the Valley Coast Debate League. This league included teams through -out Western Michigan. Our debate team was invited to participate in the Seaway Invitational and took third place against the other schools in the league. A lot of hard work and effort went into this year ' s team and it showed. The team consisted of Belinda Carpenter-Is t affirmative, Connie Rossman-2nd affirma- tive. Cyndee Hock-lst negative, and Joe Hock- 2nd negative. Rhonda Mund was the team ' s timekeeper for her second year. Sack ro w are: Alan Hilgendorf, Mrs. Kienke, Rhonda Mund, and Joe Hock.
