Bert Reynolds qualified for the state meet after tieing the school record for the 100m Dash at 11.1 and setting a new school record for the 400m Dash at 51.3. This is the fourth year for the OHS Drama Club, and in this time 8 productions were produced, one of which was a musical. The Drama Club was started by Mr. Art Tanderup and taken over by Miss Wagner when she came here. Because the Drama Club had made a considerable profit on their productions they have been able to buy professional make-up, costumes, portable lighting system and bulbs. 51 THE EGG AND I” The story is based on the life adventures of the MacDonald family. The family situation, with its financial worries and always present humor, show a special value of the family unit. September 14 with everyone dressing up western style to Rope up the Wildcats and Tuesday was the fifties with everyone in their skirts, saddle shoes and leather jackets to Relive Past Victories. That night at 8:00 p.m. coronation began with a pot-luck supper and the crowing of the 1981 Homecoming King Bill Williamson and Queen Kim Hill (right picture). The candidates were (bottom row. sitting) Mike Schwagcr, Bob Wil- liats, Todd Stclling, and Dustin Cleveland carried the King’s crown. Across from them the girl candidates sitting are Roxanne Rader. Janet Leiding and Julie Schleusener. Carla Meyer carried the crown for the Queen. The attendents were Brock Holliday and Shirlette Shrader Fresh- men, Tim Twibell and Michele Nielsen-Sophomores, and Glen Cheatum and Brenda Williamson-Juniors. Spirit week continued Wednesday with everyone wearing their grubbies. Thursday the scene changed with everyone wearing their Sunday Best. Friday was the traditional orange and black day. The volleyball game began that night at 6:30 with the girls being victori- ous over the Wildcats and the boys losing the football game. The dance began that night after the game with Cassette Convention until 1:00 a.m. 61 62 The 1982 Jr.-Sr. prom was held March 20 at 6:30 p.m. The theme was Sometimes a Fantasy. The welcome was given by Jody Gudensch- wager and the prayer by Mark Cooper. After supper the Sophomore servers put on their skit- Most Embarrassing Moments - of the seniors. Then Janet Leiding and Kim Hill read the Senior class wills. Prophecies were read by Jody Gudenschwager and Marci Godel. Following the this was the closing by Jody Gudenschwager. The dance began at 9:00 and ended at 12:00 p.m. The music was provided by Stanton Sound.
