Randy Wettlaufer Homecoming King for 1973 was crowned by last year’s King Barry Heiss. The coronation took place in Orchard gym after our victory over the Spencer football team by a 7 to 6 score. The music for the dance that even- ing was performed by Rainbow Bridge of Hardington. The first dance honored the royalty and attendants. 1974 All-Sports 1ST ROW: Queen Nancy Stauffer. The 1974 All-Sports Queen Nancy Stauffer was crowned by last year’s Queen Kathy Sorensen. Larry Mosel All- Sports King for 1974 was crowned by last year’s King Bob Ickes. The theme for this year’s banquet which was put on by the Pep Club, was ’’Yellow Brick Road.” A yellow brick road, which was part of the decorations, led those attending past posters recording victories and scores in our various sports events, then on to the castle where the King and Queen were crowned, and finally to a rainbow with a pot of gold at the end filled with our trophies from this year’s sports victories. The royalty, attendants, and guests, were served by waiters and waitresses dressed representing characters from the Wizard of Oz.” Nancy Stauffer. Pep Club President, gave the welcome. Colleen Knapp, toastmistress. read the histories of the Queen and King candidates. Entertainment for that evening was provided by the Triple Trio and Saxophone Quintet under the direction of Mr. Richter. Presentations were made by Pep Club sponsor Miss Yvonne Conrad and Coaches Tim Manzer. Arlo Pinker- man. and Philip Mann. The speaker for the evening was Ron Jones, basketball coach at Wayne State College. Speaker Ron Jones. Jr.-Sr. Prom The OHS Junior-Senior Banquet and Prom was held Friday. May 3rd in the school gym. The theme of the prom was “Saturday in the Park. The gym was decorated in a beautiful spring setting; the main attraction being a beautiful rose arbor and a small decorative fountain immediately in front of it. The mothers of the junior class served the delicious meal. During the banquet, the welcome was given by Bruce Ickes. and a thanks given by Eileen McBride for the Senior Class. Then the senior class prophecy was read by Lorinda Erb and Dana Synder. and the will read by LaVon Cronk and Tony Pruss. Other entertainment included a skit presented by the sophomore servers, and the triple trio sang two numbers. A dance followed the banquet with music provided by Stepchild.
