Your Afternoons Drug Slightly After the lunch hour is over, everyone seems to feel that he needs a Siesta. The teachers have a hard timekeeping their students awake in study hall and in class. Our one teacher even insists that all students have transparent eye- lids that they close in order to fool him. How- ever, students find that some activities call for their alert attention. Geometry students are kept on their toes, what with finding the hypotenuse of a triangle or proving equality of angles. Chem- istry students can usually be found for smelledj cooking up another brew in their lab. Really Building . . Opening Geometry

,ni Buying a meal ticket. Noon Hours Fly By The noon hours begin with one big mad rush to the cafeteria. It seems that everyone wants to be the first in line for his lunch. After a hurried lunch most of the students either go downtown or play in the gym. On certain days there are volleyball tournaments between the girls of different classes. If the volleyball nets aren't up, time is spent in playing basketball, ping- pong, or shuffleboard. Young musicians and chorus lrlnembers also do their practicing during the noon our. Advanced typing students find themselves busily mimeographing and typing let- ters. In study hall librarians often are found working on books.
