The building was plain and simple, ,but it served its purpose well. However, this building soon became too small and a new building was built on the site of the present school. This building two rooms, one upstairs and one contained only downstairs, for the first eight grades. In 1914 an addition was built to the east of the building which doubled its former size. There fore, the next year Orangevil1e,had its first high school, offering a two-year course. The grade school was divided differently than it is now. The primary room contained the first and second grades and the intermediate room contained the third, fourth, and fifth grades, which were on the first floor. On the second floor were the sixth, seventh, and eighth sgrades, the grammar room an high school. The two-year high proved to oe very success- ful, and so the experiment was carried still farther. In 1919 a complete high school course was offered. In this year another addition and other improvements were made. Eight years ago the gymnasium and also the English and Meth rooms were added. The building of the gym was a great accomplishment. A couple of years later the school began to have busses, which was another step forward. Ever since the two room schoolhouse was built our school has been gradually improved and enlarged. ,iggli x Q2 j fZZCZ CZ We -V.
