Under the navagation of advisor Shirley Bockleman, first mates Richard Clucas and Laura Wingard steered the crew through the rocky can- yons and over the towering summits of the dangerous seas and shoals of report- ing and editorializing. The REFLEC- TOR proved to be a seaworthy craft, but it was the crew that kept it aloft. Through the sandstorms and typhoons of criticism, the courageous team secured their rigging and battened their hatches to weather the torrents. But for the most part, the waters were calm, the landslides few, and the squalls brief. All in all, conditions were perfect for producing a profound publication. The promise of blue skies tomorrow gives hope for future excellence today. Ml ww I 1 Noel Pineo, Mike Smith, and Vicki Hall. The Grange and White The ORANGE AND WHITE Staff this year worked in nondepartment- alized methods: everybody worked on almost every section. There were some staff members who did organized sections, however. Connie engineered the opening and closing sections, Sue coordinated the great amount of work on senior pic- tures and comments, a diflicultjob. Terri not only did the faculty section, but she also took care of the book- keeping and paperwork. Colin did foot- ballg Bret, the band and baseball: Jeff did the student leaders and basketball. Carol pretty much took care of girls' sports. Jim and Larry worked on the ex- panding academic section, and Frank and Butch worked up the track pages. Gary and Bret did cross country. Everyone who could work a camera contributed pictures, but Stan and Bret kept is fairly organized. Count up the number oljuniors and sophomores l'or some idea of the work that Bryan and John did in the under- classmen section. Much ofthe art work was done by Bitsy, with help from Alec. It's an enormous task to publish a book. We hope that you will find it increasingly valuable as years pass.
