les 1 :Xt the sound ot' nailed shoes on the walk, we glance out the window, and, sure enough, there are the boys dressed for baseball hurrying to the field. Grabbing our camera we follow, and there find everyone at work. The thud of a ball in a catcher's mitt, the crack of a baseball bat upon a pop fly, faint shouts, good humored bantering that passes between members of the team, and the sharp staccato commands of the coachg all go to make up the scenes that meet our eves. As we watch these boys at practice, we can scarcely wait for the shoutiof the umpire, Play ball! Mak!! 770.06 Scarcely had school begun when the track team made its appearance and, under the capable direction of Coach Snyder, won the Franklin County Championship in Class B. Then, after a little time for practice, We entered the fall meet at Blassachu- setts State College, and again came home victorious. VVhile I1Ot taking first place in the last meet of the year, held at Spencer, we did bring back our share of the individual trophies.

Miss Tubbs smilingly greets us in French, whereupon we enter. live find the club doing remarkably well using French-Canadian newspapers and magazines. Scoop Chapman, the circulation boy, Hashes into our vision and skids to a stop in front of Vernon, editor-in-chief. Passing Vernon's place of business, we enter room I5 to be greeted by a business-like atmosphere. Proof readers and copy writers are strewn about the room. At the mimeograph young ladies chatter with the persistence of a chicken after a worm. :Xt the back of the room are the Staplers busily making up the Oghis which is issued every two weeks.
