Parker, Adams Crowned Amid Fog With the court of class princes and princesses around them, Ron Parker and Sue Adams were crowned 1978 Homecoming King and Queen. The football team went on to win the game against Ramona and remain un¬ defeated. The Homecoming dance was held the following night. a. King and Queen Ron Parker and Sue Adams, b. Old-Fashioned Theme Prevailed Although unusual circumstances including dense fog, surrounded Homecoming night, nothing could dampen the excitement of the crowd, the football team, or the royalty. At the last minute the football game had to be played on the field of cross-town rival Escondido High. This was due to a power failure of Orange Glen’s field lights. The theme of this ASB sponsored event was “An Old-Fashioned Homecoming” and it turned out to be truly fitting, for in its first years, O.G. had to play all of its home games on Escondido’s field. The pre-game ceremonies began with the coming in of cheer¬ leaders past and present on an old-fashioned fire truck. Next was the entrance of Freshman Prince and princess, Sean Salis¬ bury and Mitzi Ausbrooks, fol¬ lowed by Sophomores Mitch Per¬ due and Gen Moczarny. Wes Marshburn and Michelle Bartok represented the Juniors and Sen¬ ior royalty was Mike Bush and Susie Roberts. As all the court had. King Ron Parker and Queen Sue Adams rode in on an old- fashioned car. a. Mitzi Ausbrooks and Sean Salisbury ride in on the rumble seat. b. Sue Adams and Ron Parker under the arch. c. Usher John Stahl assists Michelle Bartok from the car. d. Susie Roberts and Mike Bush walk onto the red carpet, e. A kiss for Gen Moczarny and Mitch Perdue, f. Exi- tement shows on the faces of Michelle Bartok and Wes Marshburn. g. Joyce Young and ASB President Jon Chute crown the new King and Queen, Sue Ad¬ ams and Ron Parker, h.
