New Groups Add To School Spirit Spirit Squad was a new and welcome addition to the campus this year. This exciting group headed by Becky Weeda provided support for many sports events. The girls took part in various fund-raising activities including the sale of spirit buttons. Freshmen cheerleaders contributed much to the stu¬ dent body with their happy and friendly personal¬ ities. Besides cheering for all freshman sports events and taking an active part in pep rallies and assem¬ blies, the girls worked together with the Varsity and J.V. cheerleaders in fund-raising events a. Enthusiasm Shown By J.V. Cheerleaders The J.V. squad had an exciting year, showing their smiles and en¬ thusiasm around campus. The en¬ thusiasm was contagious as was shown by the amount of student support the girls had. Working with the Varsity cheer¬ leaders on various fund-raising events such as car washes, bake sales, candy sales and local pub¬ licity for a television station, the girls combined good times with money-making projects. Spirit ribbons were also sold in order to make students aware of and in¬ terested in coming events.
