rama Students Portray Many Talents This year's Drama Department set up and ran a very successful haunted house which was situ- ated in the barn at Grape Day park. The haunted house was in operation for two weeks before Halloween. a. With a fiendish expression, the mad doctor Mike Sylvester begins a deadly operation on his unconscious victim Rose Taconi. b. Dressed as a monster, Robert Smith and his Mummy friend prepare to grab unaware visitors. c. A look of horror flashes in the eyes of Joe Gaylor as he is awakened from a dead sleep. d. Flourescent paint en- hanced the faces of spooks Terri Street and Mike Friedrichs as they, along with David Carpender, dressed as monsters prepared for unsuspecting victims. e. Werewolf Michelle Foster reaches out to grab a guest ofthe haun- ted house.

Hard ork Requires SCIIOUS Thought Beginning the year with 13 members proved interesting to the Torch Staff. Through missed deadlines and bitter words the staff remained friends. Often, other activities were given up in order to meet deadlines. However, the staff found workshop sessions and working together quite enjoy- able. The advisor appointed Martha Velarde as editor and Sue Howard as assistant editor.
