Camping, sking and hiking are just a few of the major activities sponsored by the Outing Club. The hi fhlight of the club's e orts was the ski-week at VVhite Face Mountain. During intersession, thrity people journeyed to XVhite Face for a fun-filled week of sking. Rifle Club The purpose of the OCCIC Rifle Club is to pro- mote firearm safety among individual members, and to teach the members. to fire a .22 rim tire rifle at a pre-arranged safe shooting area. Niem- bership is open to all students of the school. 'Hie only requirement is that they become members of the National Rifle gXssociation. The club meets ev- ery Thursday at 11:00 AM. at the Middletown State .Xrmory on Ilighland Avenue to fire their rifles on the range in the building. If information pertinent to the club is brought ui. the meeting place is changed to lludson 1053. Tie members of the club are given the opportunity to earn awards based on proficency with the rifle. The Club sponsored numerous projects includingg a cream cheese hour, a Barton's candy sale and a Model Sedar. The entire student body was invited to participate in these activities. In the past year. the Iewish Student Organization has bettered itself through good guidance and leadership 92 The Orange Review. the literary magazine of Orange County Community College, is dedicated to the ideals of bringing imaginative writings of O.C.Cl.CI. students to everyone. Adding a spark of originality to the regimentation of college life the magazine attempts to broaden the students' in- terests in Writings, art works and music. It is a club that is vi- tally interested in the news of today. It enables the student to develop a more diversified outlook on contemporary happenings in the World through discussions, guest lectures. and panel discussions. Orange County Connnunity Colleges Internation- al Relations Clulm is a rneinher of a nationwide In- ternational Relations Organization and a partici pator in a National Model United Nations. In re cent years O.C.C.C. has represented South Africa, Canada, and the Maldive Islands. They have also attended a China Conference sponsored by Harvard. This year the clulm has sponsored a fast for U.N.I.C.E.F. Some of its more general functions are the sponsoring of various information services. The clulm hoasts of a growing and more interested lneinhership. It is a ineinlmer of a widespread stu- dent clulv and participates in worthwhile and en- joyalvle conventions.
