Student Education ssooiation The student Education Association is a club which was formulated to promote a better student-teacher relationship. Lectures are given to the club bv superintendents and other guest educators. Observations of different schools are made through movies and field trips. The club was organized in the spring of 1967. It's only activity for the spring semester was a fashion show themed Travel in Fashion. Clothes pro- vided Were from some retail stores in Mid- dletown and the models used were male and female students. This semester they took a field trip to the Fashion Centerl' in Paramus, New lersey, to tour the new twenty-six store mall. They also conducted a Bookstore Survey. Student Court The OCCC Student Court functions just as any other court of law. The Student Court is a court of peers. There are five judges on- the bench, one elected Sophomore and four ap- pointed judges. A court clerk and a secretary are appointed also. The cases tried by the court fall under the Student Code of Conduct. Park- ing and bussing cafeteria dishes lead in most cases tried. The Student Court also makes up the judicial committee which reviews bills brought to the Student Senate and interprets the Constitution. President: Klar- Business Club The main purpose of the Business Club is to present ideas and in- formation about the business World to the students who are club members. The advisors are Mrs. Luft and Mr. Markovitsg and the officers are Ellen Oestrich, President, Re- becca Hamilton, Vice-President, Margaret Korycki, Secretary, and john Yale, Treasurer. One of the divisions of the Business Club is the Investment Seminar, headed by Mr. Markovits. These students learn to chart stocks and learn how the Stock Market operates, Main activities include several trips, guest speakers, and the Christ- mas tea for the faculty, staff, their husbands and Wives, and the students. Our strip this semester was to New York City. Some of the students visited the New York Stock Exchange and the Federal Reserve Bank. Those students who had been on this trip last year visit- ed the N.Y. State Supreme Court- Civil and Criminal Divisions.

Cheerleaders The primary purpose of the cheerleading squad this year was to build school spirit to a height surpassing all previous years. It is their job to select and lead appropri- ate yells for the student body at all school athletic events, and to belp uphold good school sportsmanship at all times. They must arouse enthusiasm and pep within the crowd and help maintain team interest and spirit. Orange Countyls new Colt mascot provided a touch of amusement and humor to each sporting event. lt was intended that the Colt would create a stronger desire for crowd participation.
