YOUNG REPUBLICANS CLUB The Young Republican Club at Orange County Community College, founded in October 1967, is a part of the Young Republicans of New York State. This organization has a chapter on most of the college campuses of the state, and works di- rectly through the State Republican Party. The Young Republicans at O.C.C.C. are a special in- terest group, although membership is unlimited all are welcome to join. The feel that it is important to encourage young men and women to get into the political field, and that the Republican Party offers to America its best chance for ad- vancement in the future. The 'KY.Rls offers to those students who seek a political career, a chance to express themselves and have their views become known, while at the same time, introduc- ing these students to the workings of the business of politics. The Young Republicans sponsored the first annual c'Miss O.C.C.C.,' contest, held during February 1968, and also actively participated in the Presi- dential Primary election held during April 1968.

The Engineering and Technological Society makes a fine contribution to those on our campus who are planning a career in Engineering or Technologies by sponsoring trips to industrial plants and inviting professionals in thc field to speak at the college.
