wzddawl Return visas to India re fused! Jean and Kaare Wil- helmsen had spent a full term learning the language of India and working among those people. Should all that ex- perience and knowledge now be lost? HOW Could God turn this to good? The Island of Trini- dad, just off the coast of South America pre- Ioy M Batfo ' 0X3 U ne Bel. ' ggfen Be ' tty itchell R sented a challenge to the Expansion Program of Open Bible Stan- dard Missions in the Caribbean Area. On the same street of this polyglot island you may see an East Indian woman in a sari with a ring in her nose, Hindus in traditional dress, Portuguese, Af- Kaare and Jean Wihelmsen with their sons, Bryant and Hubert. ricans, and the sharp businessmen- the Chinese. Here on an island 50 miles long and 40 miles wide are 700, 000 people. One third of them are East Indians! Here are typical bazaars and Hindu Temples. Here the ministry of the Wilhelmsens in Hindu and English can best be utilized for the Glory of God. In one short year a large group of bloodwashed ones has been wrested by prayer and fortitude from the grip of the enemy of our souls. Today this group is helping repair and repaint the building which will house the mis- sionaries and be the home of the Open Bible Institute of Trinidad. God's benediction upon this beginning be- tokens a future with numerous churches pastors, and evangelists. 41
