' emi- Qifglu 1, M V... lv ,,, . u lm .,f 2+ We-if,uga5i?3?!3f?-vw, t a t if ' v -H' ar 1 WM v 'rf M 'W Thus year s outstanding Varsuty Cheerleadung squad brought much recognutuon and honor to OHS and the community utself through their many accomplishments The urls attended two camps during the summer one of whuch was the Unuversuty of the outh at Sewanee Tenn There the gurls won fuve blue rubbons a gold superstar rub bon a spurut stuck and won the Award of Excellence whuch qualufued them for the NCA Championships un Orlando Fla The gurls also attended the UCA camp at UTC there they won seven blue rubbons a spurut stuck qualufued for UCA Regionals at Auburn and they were chosen as Dustruct Champions Throughout the year the gurls attended varuous competutuons the furst of whuch was the Tennessee Valley Faur Competutuon un Knoxvulle There they receuved Thurd Place Overall The next Competutuon the gurls attended was the 1985 Eastgate Cheerleadung Competition, there, they received first place in chant, third in Pom-Poms, and won Second Place Overall. The CACC Competition held at Central High School was the next thing they attended. There, they received a first place trophy. The last competi- tion these young ladies were involved in was the ICF Competition. There, they were chosen as District Champions, and qualified for the ICF Nationals in Nashville. The thing that these young ladies should be most recognized for is the NCA Na- tionals that they attended in Orlando, Fla. over Christmas break. There, the girls com- peted against over 400 squads from around the U.S. The squad was among the top 30 in the nation in the large varsity division. We commend and are very proud of each and every one of these young ladies for their accomplishments at competitions, as well as football and basketball games, and wrestling matches. Thanks for all of your support and spirit! A special thanks goes to Mrs. Valerie Rutledge and Miss Debbie Troutman for all of their efforts and patience.
