STUDENT CDUNCIL 'R 77 Sponsors: Mr. Jarvis and Mrs. Yerger H The Student Council received the honor award at the state convention in Memphis. This recognition was based on leadership and activities. The Student Council sponsored the annual Magazine sale, turkey race, Christmas Dance, Homecoming week, Valentine's Day flowers, and Spirit Week. New projects undertaken this year included the blood drive, and the Homecoming events which included the Powder-puff football, Mr. Legs contest, and the Club Carnival. The Student Council conducted the Freshman Orientation as well as provided a Faculty meal at the beginning of the school year. Throughout the year the student council functioned on behalf of the students and the school, always encouraging school spirit in all activities.
