Administration Presses the Oliver Wendell Holmes once said, ‘The great thing in the world is not so much where we stand, as in the direction we are moving.” Our direction in edu- cation must be upward and onward never downward and backward. Educators, together with community forces, must strive to develop in its youth a desire for success and happiness in life. For this precise reason, we must seek out problems and convert them into challenges. Challenges that are sought and welcomed, diligently labored upon, and eventually mastered will blossom into successes that will make our lives warm and meaningful. If these challenges are to prove attainable, their goals need to be sharpened and resharpened so that they stand out vividly in our thoughts. Only when all forces—the community, the school, and the church—labor together in a definite direction for the development of its youth can we experience the sat- isfaction and enjoyment of success in life. 4
