' o • ♦ % ★ Administration Administration Presses the Oliver Wendell Holmes once said, ‘The great thing in the world is not so much where we stand, as in the direction we are moving.” Our direction in edu- cation must be upward and onward never downward and backward. Educators, together with community forces, must strive to develop in its youth a desire for success and happiness in life. For this precise reason, we must seek out problems and convert them into challenges. Challenges that are sought and welcomed, diligently labored upon, and eventually mastered will blossom into successes that will make our lives warm and meaningful. If these challenges are to prove attainable, their goals need to be sharpened and resharpened so that they stand out vividly in our thoughts. Only when all forces—the community, the school, and the church—labor together in a definite direction for the development of its youth can we experience the sat- isfaction and enjoyment of success in life. 4 Continuing of High Standards This has been a tremendous school year. I have great pride in sharing the accomplishment of our students and faculty. The honors gathered by the athletic teams and musical groups are matched by the scholastic level main- tained. With our new facilities a challenge is extended to us all. We are compelled to make Oologah the Mecca of public schools in Oklahoma. Let’s meet this challenge. Mrs. Jean Bolch School Bookkeeper mm Oologah Is Many Things . . . . Life at Oologah School is many things to an ever in- creasing student body. It may be the excitement or thrills at a sports event—football, basketball, band festival, pep rally or participation in the many activities available. It could be the hours spent in classes, laboratories, play rehearsals, getting ready for the prom, homecoming and finally gradua- tion. Whatever life at Oologah school is to its students can only be partially glimpsed in the Mustang. The varied moods, the many memories, the countless good times can only be relived in our hearts in the years to come.
