This, to us, might be known as the modern era of school expan- sion. The Board of Education finds itself involved in the challenge of attempting to solve this problem. They labor long hours, on their own time, to insure the best for the youth of this community. The near future will see the results of their untiring efforts of a dream becoming reality-the construction of a new high school building with the best that can be afforded. WALTER DIEROLF, Clerk HAROLD PEARSON, Vice-President CHESTER PENNER. President HAROLD CHRISTY, Member FORREST CORLETT. Member . . . IT IS A WAY OF LIFE The 1970 Mustang is designed to be a record of the school year, but it is more than that. In the years to come, it will be a key that unlocks the door to forgotten memories of past friendships and adventures. However, it is just a continuation of something that is never finished and will never be-for friendships and memories go on and on. 2 ADMINISTRATION REFLECTS RICH PROFESSIONAL In the world today, we are in a race between education and catastrophe. Either we acquire sufficient knowledge and wisdom to solve our problems or an un- welcome tyranny will destroy us. We are richly endowed in our heritage, institutions, resources, and personnel. With a strong determination and resolute mind, we will not be destroyed. So let us take up our tools, the family love we have as given by the home; knowledge as given by our institution; and wisdom that only God can give. We should dedicate ourselves to the end that our nation under God, will have a new birth, and be the home of Truth, Freedom and Justice, now and forever. 4 BACKGROUND To the Student Body: In this day of new ideas and changes, I feel that the stu- dents of this school are a very cooperative group. It is my sincere wish that these people will go away being a better educated, capable individual who will contribute greatly to the American way of life. These things, I feel we are accom- plishing. It is a great honor and pleasure to serve as your High School Principal. Sincerely yours, The average school day is Tilled with many duties that accom- pany the position of MR. JAMES DOWELL, Grade School Principal. Many tasks are efficiently performed everyday by MRS. ANGELA FRY and MRS. JEAN BOLCH School Secre- taries. IVA LYNN PENNER YEARBOOK SWEETHEART FACULTY EDUCATION IS the first rung on rite ladder of great- ness. Great minds.roust be cultivated before profound achievements can be made. This tremendous task is left in the hands o pur faculty at Odlogah. Not only do they share their knowledge with students for the mere reward of the inner satisfaction it brings, but they also encourage the .. most outstanding traits of each student’s character. They ' v du this by sponsoring maiiy organizaiions and activities, takbig up much time. As each student seeks greatness, he should keep inirimJ those who have guided him. MRS. BEATRICE KEELING. Librar- ian, keeps the library files neat and or- derly for continuous use of students. ADMINISTRATION THE MAIN ROLE OF OOLOGAH SCHOOL is to serve the students who attend. Classroom doors and rooms were swathed in multi- colored sheets of foil and decorations which reflect the spir- it of the season. Another major source of fun was trimming the various Christmas trees, and here students really put their ingenuity to a test. The Choir serenaded all students and guests with Carols which contributed to the true meaning of Christ's Birth. When Christmas vacation time arrived it meant the end of room decorations, tree trimming, unwrapping and ex- changing of gifts. Finally all boxes, beautiful bows as well as the large tree made their last pilgrimage- to the inciner- ator.
