T o the Student Body: My sincere appreciation is extended to the fine student body of Oologah Public School. Youare outstanding inclass workand also extra-curricular activities. The faculty, as well as, I certainly appreciate the fine sports- manship you display at athletic events. Your manner of dress at school and school functions is in good taste which shows high moral and char- acter standards. The interest you have shown in our band is reflected in its size and progress. Additional uniforms for next year have been ordered to attire a 65-piece band. We hope to increase this number to 85 members in the near future. The 1,368 book reports turned in the first semester by grades 3 through 6 overwhelms me. These grade students also presented the Christmas and Easter operettas that made us very proud of them. I know you students are very proud of the Board of Education for providing the excellent facilities, faculty and the fine curriculum that is being offered in our school system. You demonstrated this at the County fair in Art, Home Economics, 4-H and other events. We are striving to give you the type of education that will enable you to attend a college or university. May I encourage each of you to start making preparations today to attend college after you have graduated from high school. The school will furnish assistance to any student in securing educational loans, scholar- ships or jobs to help further your education. I am very proud of you and please feel free to call on me at any time. Sincerely,
