My V 1g'g,, Rm .Ka ,W V :QT-Sig., ' 2' Oolitic High School is located in the heart of the limestone deposits, and the town of Oolitic was founded by the men who owned and operated the first quarries in and near the town. When the first issue of the Oolitic High School Yearbook was printed, it was quite appropriately named THE LIMESTONE. The students who chose this name for their school publication asked that each succeeding issue contain a picture of a Lawrence County stone mill or quarry. This year we have an interesting and unique picture of two stone carvers at the Carl Furst Company Mill producing an intricate carving to be used in the interior of a Cathedral at Newark, New Jersey.
