,,.. , JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY. 'l'his niost wonderful class of '19 although the smallest elass in the O. ll. S. has a very interesting history. Two or three of its members were eonipelled to step i11t0 the Senior Glass this year and their absenee is deeply regretted. Lueile Biggs, Helen Dunbar Qnow a Seniorj, Amy f'anfield. Yiola llusted, Thel Lanipkin, Paul McCulloch, and Franeis Zini- nierinan are the only ones who can remember that day, so lilllg' ago, when we started to sehool with our new pencils and slates and learned to write eat and dog all in one day. It was then a elass of about thirty members. In the second grade was added to our class Helen Caldwell. and the year following Cecil Logan who was with us until the next year when she left and returned about a week ago to resume her studies with the old class. The fourth grade brought us Jaeli 'l'aylor and Gladys Udiek and they have been with us ever sinee Mamie and Myrtle Stewart eame i11to tl1e eighth grade with us. As Goldberg says Htinie has wrought many ehangesl' for al- though i11 the eighth grade 'Wendell Holland was a very bashful boy and exeeedingly bright in Arithmetic, he is now very popular with the girls and gets an oeeasional F in his Geometry W? i? L? H!!! lieora, Martlia, llelta, Erma and Alva all eame to share the hfizes and titles of our first year in High Sehool. The snow was very deep that year and also very eold. 'l'he next year Margaret Oram joined us and this year two niore have been added, Lola and llarrell Houser. Now the elass numbers twenty with just seven boys, but nevertheless we always manage to hold our own with the other elasses. Next year when we are all sitting up on the stage reeeiving f ur High Sr-hool Diplomas, we will look baek with a heavy heart to the tinies when Paul Mellulloeh wore blue and white striped overalls and Amy got a star in spelling every day.
