This year the club is ledby Miss Potter: Mary Myers, Edna Hawkins,andlmis Ryan are enrolled in thefirst project, cotton I. Geraldine Brown andLetha Bolyard are also in this class but have a few more articles to make because they are older. ' The Cotton II girlsare Patsy Petee, Betty Fish, and Mary Bremer, They have completedtkw Cotton I project in the previous year and are now doing more advanced work. We have one third year girl, HelenKing'Mhois work- ing with wool. This is for girls who have completed the Cotton I and II projects and are preparing for the ad- vanced work, Complete Costume. The girls who complete their projects exhibit their work at the County Achievement Day and wear the garments they made in the dress revue that evening. KEEPERS OF THE BOOKS Keepers of the Books Club grew out of 7 and Bth grade interest in books in their study of libraries. The Club was organized in February'fmrthe purpose of improv- ing our school library. Committees under sponsorship of Mrs. Helen Sargent, wrote a constitution, conductedeiec- tions, and outlined duzwork of the club foriimisemester. Then formal organization took place, the officers being elected as follows: President. . . . . . Phyllis Tyler Vice President . . , , .Betty Burton Secretary M Treasurer. . . . .Peggy Morris Cleaning committees were appointed to clean books and shelves. Arranging committees arranged books on basis of the Dewey Decimal System. Mending committees reconditioned worn books.' The decoration committees planned two weeks displays. .Because the club has seen a vast improvement in the library to date, it hopes to continue in the enusing years, broadening its scope of activity and establishing a good much-needed library system in the school.
