E- ,EQ M WW' x Q41 ' xl s X 1942 CLASS PROPHECY As we gaze into our crystal ball we see the future of each of our Classmates. Lo and beholdl what do we see here? Basil Foor, with the help of Harold Hatcher, oper- ating a Tourist Camp just outside of Ottawa, Illinois. It seems that Basil has recently talked with Richard La- gassee, who is touring Illinois, playing concerts for Charity Balls. Basil learns from himthai:Marguerite Der- myer is doing this type of work in Gaylan. Harold is now going to his room to get a letter he has just received from Elwyn Merx. It seems that Elwyn has settled down to running a Standard Oil Bulk Station in Louisville, Ken- tucky. Working with him are Roger Smith andArthur Pence. Patricia Hawkins is their very efficient secretary. As the scene changes we see Marvin Vallad, as pro- prietor of a restaurant in Davenport, Iowa. Just coming into the restaurant are Olive May Derbyshireandlmcy May Fenicle who are relieved for a few hours of work attheir nursery for pre-school age children. Again the change of scene brings us to Chico, Cali- fornia, where we catch a glimpse of the hotel register, The name of Alberta Skinner and Evelyn Dowling appear. These girls, it seems, are on their way to Hollywood to apply for positions as gown designers for Paramount Stu- dios. They expect to get help from Carleene Tuthill, who is working as a model in one of the fine gown shops down there. Carleene has already told them.that Emily Wimple is doing very well at her work as an actress. As we look down on across street, whom should we see but Willard Pawson directing traffic. What's this! two people talky ing on a street corner. They seem to know Mr.2kMrs.'Jack Marr. It seems that Jack is employed by theDiamond Match Company. As we look back to a farm house near Angola, Indi- ana, we see Doris Warner,:atleast that was her name when she was graduated, very busy with her home work. A very prominent theater in Fort Wayne is featuring Marian Cum- mings and her band under the management of Betsy Outman. In Detroit, Michigan, Carl Winter is the head sur- geon in one of the hospitals. Harlan Woerner is pitching for the Detroit Tigers.

Dean has just heard from Elzie Black who joined the navy as soon as he was gradu- ated from High School. Now in New York Cityg Naomi Pickford and Ruth Pike are busy running a successful business--writing society columns for two of New York's daily papers.
