A hay-ride was given for fhe new members on Ocfober 4, I947. The winfer rush parfy was again held af Senafor Frickman's house. The following were rushees: Dick Sfreefer, Jim Blandford, Dufch Mefz and Bill Beckwifh. We had our final nighf on March 6, i948 and a hayride was given in honor of fhe new senafors on March 7, I948. Senafe had ifs Twenfy-Sixfh Annual Spring Dance on May 7, af Valley. lf was a social and financial success. Senafe defeafed Befa in ifs annual winfer baskefball game. A very successful year will be closed wifh fhe annual Senafe oufing af Green Lake in June.

The second rush was a Hayride afier which we wenl +0 Beverly Duell's for refreshmenls. For our 'final rush we had a Dress Rush al' fhe home of Joan Pickard. On Ocrober I4, +he 'Following were pledged a+ 'rhe Onondaga Holelz Nancy Calkins, Marion Dofy, Joan Edwards. Joyce Farne'r+, Nancy Hagin, Be+sy Hunniford, Belly Reynolds, and Faye Vadeboncoeur. Eiga'- xz , November I5 was 'lhe dale of our annual Sadie Hawkins Day Hayride. This proved a grea+ success and was enioyed by all who aHended. Our annual Mee+ and Ear was held a+ +he Elmwood Presbylerian Church which was also a success. Marianne Locklin's home was +he scene of our Paiama Parry . December 23 was rhe dale of our annual Rendezvous in Holly . The place was 'rhe Masonic Temple. The ioyful spiril of Chrislmas and 'lhe music of 'lhe Ohioans bo+h aided in making 'rhis a success. The spring ferm was ushered in by a Molher and Daughler Banquel' held af Tubberls on February l I. We also inslalled our new officers. A Backward Rush opened our spring +erm. This was held a+ rhe home ol Dorolhy Knaack. Our second rush was a Dress Rush held ar +he home of Carherine and Jane Doray. March I6, lhe following were pledged a+ our Formal Pledge al Drumlins: Marrha Bedworfh, BeH'y Creay, Janel' Dauler, Jeanelle Doly, Marion Howard, Arlene Kalediian. On April 23, a sock dance called The S+ocking Foo'r S'fomp was held in +he school gym. Prizes were given for +he smallesl' and largesl feel. Our Silver Tea was held in May. The successful aclivifies of +he year were concluded by an ou+ing a+ Green Lake.

Formal Pledge was held Ocfober 30fh af Hofel Syracuse and fhe following girls were pledged: Georgina Dauenhauer, Beffy Lou Dorsey, and Mary Lou Taffe. Lafer, a paiama parfy af Priscilla Conger's was held for old and new members. Our Annual dance was held November I4fh wifh music by Jaclr Kreischer. Everyone af fhe Twilighf Twirl had a wonderful fime. We also held a successful raffle during fhe fall. lnsfallafion of fhe presenf slafe of officers was preceded by our Annual Mofher and Daughfer banquef af Tubber'l s February I2fh. A mid-winfer sleigh ride was also held and fhe girls and fheir dafes had a pleasanf fime. We opened fhe rushing for fhis ferm wifh a Melody Rush held af fhe home of our advisor, Mrs. Vanderwege. The second rush, Childhood Ambifions, followed. Rosemary Kife, June Kinney, Joan Ripley, Beffy Pharoah and Shirley Russell were formally pledged info Pi Phi af Hofel Syracuse on March l0fh. Lafer fhe new mem- bers were enferfained af a paiama parfy. A Founders' Day Tea, af which fhe alumnae and members renew fheir pledge was held March I4fh af Donna Francoeur's home. Several successful food sales boosfed our freasury during fhe year. On March 20fh, Pi Phi held ifs Annual banquef in honor of fhe baslxefball feam. During fhe year, volleyball feams were organized among fhe girls' organizafions. Compefifion was keen and all who parficipafed had an excifing fime. The members of Pi Phi will close a very successful year, socially and financially, wifh fhe Annual June oufing. The girls of fhe sororify are losing confacf wifh many of fheir sisfers fhis year due fo graduafion, buf fhose who remain are sure fo uphold 'lhe honor and fradifion of Pi Phi.
