IN MEMoRlAM A TRIBUTE TO Fnenoie IRELAND By Cafherine Adams This page will always call fo mind, A pal of yours, a pal of mine, A youfh who's shed life's weary cares And now fhe peace of heaven shares. Though now he is sfill in peaceful sleep, His memory alive in our hearfs will keep. God bless and always keep him near: This friend of ours we held so dear And granf fhaf we, his classmafes, be As good, as frue, as kind as he. So fhaf no maffer where we may roam, We'll be wifh Freddie when we gef home. Frederick M. lreland, known by his friends as Freddie or Frifz , was born Ocfober 5, l929 af Onondaga Hill. He was bapfized in fhe Onondaga Hill Presby- ferian Church and affended Sunday School fhere. He affended Onondaga Hill Gram- mar School and graduafed as Vice-Presidenf of his class. Upon enfering Onondaga galley ykcademy in fhe fall of I943, he became a represenfafive for fhe Sfudenf ounci . Freddie, who was fhe youngesf of fhree children, was very fond of animals. He always had a dog, a cal' and a few years ago he gof Jim , his horse, which he rode offen wifh his mofher and fheir black horse. Everyone liked Freddie, and in furn Freddie liked everyone. He will be remem- bered by fhe liffle red ieep fhaf he drove up and down fhe hill lusually overflowing wifh ofher sfudenfsl. We, who knew Freddie, do nof fhink of him as gone. He lives in our memory foday, as when he was here wifh us. A MEMORIAL T0 DeWITT BROWNSON JR. When DeWif'I' leff us, we all losf a dear friend. A leader in his communify, he found much safisfacfion as a very successful pafrol leader in his Boy Scouf Troop. Besides being an oufsfanding scholar, DeWif'I' always liked fo make fhings wifh his hands, especially model airplanes. Someday he mighf have been a designer of new models of airplanes. He was faken from us February I7, l945. Affer suffering for some fime from cancer of fhe knee he died February I7, l945. Buf we sfill have a vivid memory of fhis dear companion.
