Two cy., fl i wr S 5 represenTaTives Trom each oT The senior high school home rooms compose Aki Q3 'Qi The Council. Among The year's acTiviTies was an assembly presenTed in May. Films were shown on vicTory gardens. Admission was a war sTamp. In December an assembly was given in honor oT The TooTball Team. Trophies won by The Team were on display. FooTbalI cerTiTicaTes were presenTed To each oT The players. We wish To Thank Mrs. Chambers Tor her work and Time in wriTing The names on These cerTiTicaTes. The STudenT Council aided in helping Take The picTures oT all The sTudenTs in The school in December and January. Some oT The members are on a commiTTee To plan Tor posT-war recreaTion in The souTh side. Plans are being considered To have square dancing lessons in The school gym. JUNIOR RED CROSS j QI-IE Junior Red Cross under The guidance oT Miss O'Connor has accomplished much This year. LasT November, The whole school enrolled in The Junior Red Cross and aT ChrisTmas Time, giTT boxes were packed Tor children in oTher counTries. Also a donaTion was given Tor The ChrisTmas parTy Tor children in CiTy I-IospiTal. The Junior Red Cross has made cookies and cupcakes several Times Tor The U. S. O. and has collecTed magazines Tor The Boys' DeTenTion I-Iome. This spring S580 has been collecTed Tor The Red Cross War Fund.

The proceeds wenT Toward a war bond. On February l7Th, we held a swimming parTy aT The Y.W.C.A. During The year we lcniTTed squares Tor aTghans Tor The Red Cross and worked Tor The VicTory CenTer. An ouTing has been planned Tor early This summer.
