The obiecT oT These clubs is To help in any acTiviTy Tor vicTory. They have all helped To collecT scrap, Tin cans, and old papers. They have senT books To The soldiers. The dues Tor These clubs is The purchase oT aT leasT one Ten- cenT cleTense sTarnp every week. One OT The proiecTs oT The Juniors This year was The selling oT magazines Tor The CurTis Publishing Company. The proiecT was sponsored by room IO4 wiTh Mrs. Harmon as adviser. The Blue Team broughT in The mosT subscripTions and will be The recipienT oT The Navy GoaT. The money earned Trom This proiecT will be used Tor a permanenT adornmenT Tor our hall. Our giTT lasT year To our school was a beauTiTul waTercolor, painTed by our Syracuse ArT Supervisor, Miss Edna Andrews. The subiecT is The old church on Pompey Hill. This picTure hangs in The TronT hall aT The righT oT The main enTrance. The Juniors have worked diligenTly and given generously To The Red Cross, The greaTesT eTTorT being made by The 8-2 A's in room IO4 and The 7-2 B's in room IO3 where greaT rivalry exisTed. Many a boy and girl wenT wiThouT lunch ThaT They rnighT boosT Their room's conTribuTion To The Red Cross. The 7-2 B's Tinally ended as The vicTors. On November I9, we held a successful roller slcafing parfy af fhe Jefferson Rollerdome. The proceeds were fo aid vicfory. Tri-Y held ifs annual Chrisfmas parfy af flie home of Nancy and Roberfa Smifh. Presenfs were exchanged. On February 5, we sponsored a Juke Box Friday Nife Dance in fhe school gym. lf was a social and financial success. In February, Carolyn Ryan and Jean Jeffery were senf as delegafes fo fhe Tri-Y Convenfion in Binghamfon. The Spring ferm inducfion was held February Il af fhe home of Jean Jeffery. New members were: Lorraine Champoux, Marilyn Farnham, Carol Gross, Charloffe l-line, Jane Kinney, Jean Monfanye, Barbara Olmsfead, Jeanne Smingler, Helen Smifh, Mary Van Eselfine. and Gloria Wildridge. On March 3, we presenfed fhe school wifh a new flag. We laniffed fwo afghans for fhe Red Cross. During March we held a parfy af which Mrs. Pafchen was our honor guesf. We presenfed her wifh a giff in appreciafion of her worlc wifh us during The pasf year. To conclude a successful ferm, Tri-Y will hold an oufing af Powleslands' camp during fhe Summer vacafion.
