The membership, comprised OT one boy and one girl represenTaTive Trom The sevenTh and eighTh grade homerooms, is TwenTy-Tour. Because oT conTlicTing schedules, The ninTh grade is noT in The Junior Council. ln The Two monThs iT has been organized The Junior Council has made many plans and done several Things. IT has been inTeresTed in The magazine drive and has sold 5309.50 worTh oT magazines wiTh The aid oT The ninTh grade. Some oT This money will be used Tor deTense sTamps To be sold in school To The sTudenTs. A creed has been developed and plans To elecT a Junior l-ligh School presidenT soon are being made. FIRST AID CLASSES ll' ANY oT The Teachers and sTudenTs aT Valley are aiding in our war eTTorT by gi - S ..,: Taking The sTandard Red Cross FirsT Aid Course. The courses are conducTed Twice a weelc under The supervision oT Miss Clarlc, physical educaTion in- sTrucTor, and Miss Balz, school nurse. The purpose is To discuss and To Try To solve some oT The problems oT The school and sTudenTs. This year iT has Tried To seT Two nighTs a week asidd Tor The social acTiviTies oT The school, The sororiTies and TraTerniTies To meeT on one nighT and The clubs To meeT on The oTher. The members saw ThaT There was a demand Tor weekly assemblies so Tried To help Turnish Them. Each day The boys are Taking Turns spending one aTTernoon packing The wasTepapers oT The school.
