A very successful banqueT was held aT TubberT's near The beginning of The school Term. Several honorary broThers from The faculTy affended and ioined wiTh The broThers in sTarTing ZeTa on a new Term. BroThers Bradley and Perkins, elecTed for The spring Term To The office of PraeTor and CuraTor, leff school To go inTo business and were succeeded by BroThers Jack Brown and Edward Torgerson. In The winTer, ZeTa and SenaTe played a series of baslceTball games which re- sulTed in a Tie. Phi DelTa recenTly became a member of The Syracuse lnTerfraTerniTy Council and expecTs To broaden iTs field of compeTiTion in aThleTics and scholasfic endeavor. In The Tall Term The following candidaTes were accepTed as broThers of Ze-Ta: Wallace Nedrow, Louis Williams, Ronald Greenman, RoberT BaxTer, Roberf Edinger, John Raymond, and Bruce Quaclcenbush. Marfha Galloway and Doris Quackenbush acfed as business and social delegafes. Doris Quackenbush was elecfed To Grand Lodge, and received The office of Treasurer. Also aT Thanksgiving a baskeT was given To a needy family. In December, The members enioyed a progressive supper-Theafer parTy, followed by a paiama parTy aT The home of Mrs. Lohff. During Chrisfmas vacafion, many social acTiviTies were held and a baskeT was given To a needy family. A formal dance was held aT The Terrace Room of l-loTel Syracuse and This also was for The members only. The Spring Term began wiTh elecfion of new officers and an annual Mofher and DaughTer BanqueT. This year The banqueT was held aT TubberT's. In March, new girls were again inifiafed aT The l-loTel Syracuse. The following were received as Sisfers: Jean Yorkey, Mary Bell, Kafhleen Callahan, and Marfho Ryan. April broughf forTh K. E.'s SWING SESSION IN SILVER. This was held aT Drumlins and a gala evenf of Spring. A parTy was held in The school gym, and was aTTended by The members of Phi DelTa Sigma and K. E.: dancing was enioyed and was followed by refreshmenTs. A coney roasT was enioyed by The members and Their friends on May I8. Following Chrislmas vacalion Pi Phi had a sleigh ride and mel laler al lhe home ol Shirley l-louser. The Annual Alumni Tea look place al lhe Onondaga l-lolel, Sunday, February l8. Two parlies look place lor members and rushees. One was a sporls parly and lhe olher a paiama parly. The lollowing were pledged al lhe Syracuse l-lolel: Florence Gaull, Mary Murphy, Doris Cosby, Jane Parlridge, Rulh Van Dusen, Frances Poller, Belly Fuller, Janel Emmons, Jean l-lungerlord, and Madeline Connell. During lhe monlh ol March, Pi Phi had a hay ride ending al lhe home ol Evelyn Colman. Previous lo a meeling, a covered dish supper look place al lhe home ol Barbara Zimmerman. On April l2, Pi Phi sponsored an All American Dance wilh Davison's Commodores lurnishing lhe music.
